Children’s Ministry

(Director:  Hope Gasey)
Every Sunday morning classes begin at 9:45am for toddlers through youth.  Classes are geared toward the particular age group and are centered on teaching Christ’s love, the plan of salvation, and godly principles of living.

During our weekly “Worship & Study” on Thursday evenings, “Joy Zone” takes place for those 11 years of age and under.

Once every quarter, “Kid’s Explosion” takes place.  It’s a fun-filled, exciting Sunday morning complete with special music, drama, and a message on their level followed by a time of prayer.

Youth Ministry

“Destiny” is the name our youth have chosen for their vibrant, growing group at the United Pentecostal Church.  They come from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities and are blending into the “new creation” God is making them.  Various local activities include times of fellowship, prayer and outreach, along with involvement in our regional and state-wide organization’s events.

The United Pentecostal Church is involved in several different forms of reaching the lost of Asheboro and its surrounding communities.  During the past almost twenty years, a thorough canvassing of every street in our city has taken place twice.  Currently, our thrust is centered around a once a month “Super Saturday Visitation.”

Every Sunday morning our vans and various individuals are active in picking up children for Sunday School.

Free, in-home Bible studies, as well as transportation to all of our services, are always offered.

Music & Drama

(Director:  Stephanie Hutton)
Music has always been an integral part of Pentecostal worship.  Our services are filled with a wide range of musical styles led by our praise team of singers and musicians throughout the year.  Special occasions are always punctuated by songs of the season.  Our annual Christmas presentation has become the biggest single event of our year.

“Power Praise,” our children / youth arts team, is involved in a variety of musical and dramatic events during the year and make their services available even outside our local congregation.
