David Hutton was born November 19, 1958, in Phoenix, Arizona to Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Hutton. At the age of two, he and his family moved to California, living primarily in San Jose, until the age of 15 at which time the family moved to the state of Oklahoma.  He graduated from Morris High School, Morris, OK, in 1976 before continuing his education at and graduating from Jackson College of Ministries, Jackson, MS, in 1979.  During his time in Mississippi, he was the drummer for the Lanny Wolfe Trio, traveling extensively across the United States.    In July, 1983, David married Stephanie Smith, a pastor's daughter, of Oklahoma City, OK.  Not long thereafter, the newlyweds moved to North Carolina to assist in various capacities at Heavenview Tabernacle in Winston-Salem.

After almost three years they moved to Lake Charles, LA, where they served as pastoral assistant and music directors at First Pentecostal Church.     Since October, 1987, David and Stephanie have resided in Asheboro, NC, where they founded the local United Pentecostal Church.  They have two beautiful children:  Justin (19 - a freshman at Wake Forest University) and Carly (13), who are very active in the local congregation.    Stephanie, an accomplished singer and musician, works side by side with her husband overseeing the music department of the church.  She also has a collection of praise and worship repertoire material entitled "Fresh Praise."
